...and then you remember places like next door records exist. tucked into uxbridge road in shepherd's bush, this spot does something most coffee shops can't pull off: it actually feels necessary. the vinyl browsing happens alongside proper espresso pulling. two things that belong together, apparently. you might come in thinking about records and leave with excellent coffee. or the reverse. doesn't matter much because both parts work without trying too hard to impress anyone. the regulars here aren't just tolerating the coffee while they dig through crates. they're genuinely invested in both sides of what's happening. this is west london coffee done right. no flash, no performance. just the kind of place that makes you wonder why more record shops don't take their coffee this seriously. worth the trip down uxbridge road for a flat white and whatever's spinning.
