slow saturday mornings have a way of sorting out which cafes are worth your time and which aren't. old george, sitting out on plover road in lindley, is the kind of place that holds up well under that test. wellington mills gives it a proper address, one of those converted industrial spaces that huddersfield does quietly and without ceremony, and the regulars here have clearly decided it's worth the commute from wherever they're coming from. you don't build that kind of loyalty on convenience alone, not out in hd3. the coffee is taken seriously, the approach is independent in the way that actually means something, and lindley itself is unhurried enough that nobody's rushing you out the door. if you're working out when to go, a weekday morning cortado is probably the move.
