pie and coffee shouldn't work as well together as they apparently do on east baltimore street, but here we are. if you're deciding what to order, start with whatever slice is up that day alongside your coffee, because that combination is clearly the point. baltimore's remington and canton corridors get a lot of attention, but the 3101 block of e baltimore st has its own rhythm, quieter and more residential, and pie time fits that pace. regulars come back consistently, which in a neighborhood spot means the experience holds up on an ordinary tuesday, not just a weekend when everything feels more forgiving. you don't need a special occasion. the coffee is the reason to show up, the pie is the reason to stay a little longer, and east baltimore street in the early afternoon is a fine place to do exactly that.
