if you're working downtown seattle and need somewhere that won't rush you out the door, 920 5th ave puts you close enough to the financial district that you can actually take a proper break from it. retro coffee has built a quiet local reputation in a part of the city that moves fast and doesn't always reward sitting still. the fifth avenue corridor isn't precious about coffee, which makes a place like this stand out without trying to. you get the sense that the regulars here aren't performing anything, they're just caffeinating before heading back into the loop. good spot for a solo afternoon with a laptop, or a mid-morning cortado before your next meeting on pike.
