revolution bike & bean does two things, and it does both seriously. that combination, coffee and cycling culture sharing the same address on east 10th street, could easily feel gimmicky in someone else's hands. it doesn't here. the regulars who keep coming back to 401 e 10th st aren't doing it out of habit or convenience, they're doing it because the place has earned that kind of loyalty through consistency. you get the sense that nothing here is incidental. bloomington has enough coffee options that a shop with staying power has to be doing something right, and this one has staying power. if you're in the area, make time for a mid-morning stop before the lunch crowd arrives.
