seminyak runs on coffee. the strip between ku de ta and the side streets off jalan kayu aya moves fast, and most places feed that pace with something forgettable. riki gaul barber shop 3 & rg coffee, sitting in the mekar ii block c stretch of denpasar selatan, doesn't operate on that logic. it's a barber shop and a coffee counter sharing the same space, which sounds like a gimmick until you're actually there and it just makes sense, two slow-down rituals under one roof. bali's specialty scene has grown sharp over the last decade, with serious roasters pushing single-origin work across the island, and this spot sits inside that culture without performing it. if you're moving through the southern denpasar corridor, the afternoon filter is worth stopping for.
