sahola coffee does one thing better than most: consistency. that might sound like a low bar, but in a city where half the cafes on any given block have already rotated out their seasonal concept by the time you've found parking, it matters more than people admit. east 31st street isn't a destination block, which is probably why the regulars here have held on so tight. you don't wander in by accident twice. the crowd that keeps coming back to 108 e 31st does so because something here meets them where they are, quietly, without needing to announce it. no gimmick sustains that kind of loyalty. the morning espresso pull is a reasonable place to start.
