sanbiki-no-kobuta takes its coffee seriously, and takamatsu is better for it. the tokiwa-cho address puts you a short walk from the city centre, in a part of kagawa that moves at a quieter pace than the ferry terminals and the covered shopping arcades. that distance from the tourist circuit matters. the people who find this place tend to find it on purpose, not by accident. locals keep coming back, which is the only metric that means anything in a city this size. if you're planning a morning in takamatsu, tokiwa-cho 1-chome is a reasonable place to start it, and a flat white, or whatever the filter option is that day, is a reasonable reason to go.
