out on bob billings parkway, past the residential sprawl of west lawrence, streamline sits in a part of the city that doesn't get written about much. which is probably fine with the people who go there. the regulars clearly feel strongly about the place, and that kind of loyalty doesn't show up without reason. you won't find it angling for attention it doesn't need. lawrence has its share of good coffee, but a shop that holds this kind of standing with its crowd has figured something out, and it tends to show in the quieter details. if you're making the drive out to 4840 bob billings pkwy, late morning is your window before the day gets away from you.
