good coffee in gillingham isn't always easy to find, but sturdee avenue has something worth knowing about. sturdee cafe sits at number 44, and if you're the kind of person who notices when a place actually takes its coffee seriously, you'll clock it quickly. the regulars here aren't casual about it, either. they come back, which says more than most reviews do. this is a small street in me7, not a city-centre thoroughfare with foot traffic doing half the work, so a place builds that kind of loyalty on what's actually in the cup. if you're coming from the medway towns, it's worth the detour. start with the espresso.
