teatonic - west has built a genuine following, and that doesn't happen quietly on north freeway. this stretch of houston, running through 77037, isn't a neighborhood people typically associate with specialty coffee, which is exactly what makes a place like this interesting. you're not stumbling in because it's trendy or because a food blog told you to. the regulars here are regulars because the coffee holds up, visit after visit, without the performance that sometimes follows a good reputation. that consistency is harder than it looks. north freeway traffic doesn't slow down for anyone, and a shop sitting along that corridor has to give people a real reason to exit. teatonic - west does. come for the afternoon shift, when the day has already worn you down a little.
