stopping off winchester road between fareham and bishop's waltham isn't usually part of anyone's grand plan, but shedfield has a way of rewarding the unplanned detour. the boss cooks sits on the po17 stretch where the road opens up a little, and the combination of coffee and kebab on the same menu is exactly the kind of thing that sounds odd until you're actually there and it doesn't. regulars here are loyal in the way people only get when a place genuinely holds up visit after visit, not because there's nothing else nearby. you can read into that what you like. the cafe side pulls its weight on its own merits. if you're heading through on a weekday morning, the cortado is the right call before the road gets busy again.
