blackpool's specialty coffee scene is quieter than you'd expect from a seaside town that draws millions of visitors a year, which makes the places that genuinely care about what's in the cup harder to find and more worth knowing about. the café @ 264 sits on dickson road, far enough from the promenade's noise to feel like somewhere locals actually go. and locals do go, repeatedly, which counts for something real in a town where plenty of venues are built around one-time footfall. if you're making your way up the fylde coast, or you're already in blackpool and want something better than whatever's closest to the tower, dickson road is worth the detour. a mid-morning flat white here, away from the arcade noise, is a reasonable argument for slowing down.
