The Cartshed Tearoom in King's Lynn, specialty coffee cafe

slow weekend mornings call for this kind of place. great massingham sits quietly off the main routes through west norfolk, and the cartshed tearoom on church lane feels very much like it belongs to that unhurried pace rather than fighting against it. you're not going to stumble across it on a commute. you have to mean it, which tends to filter out the distracted and leave the people who actually want to be there. the regulars clearly do want to be there, and have done consistently enough to build a reputation that carries well beyond the village. whatever you order, save room in the afternoon for something from the tea menu. church lane in late october is a good enough reason on its own.
