the cherry tree cafe does one thing uncommonly well: it gives you a reason to slow down in a town that rarely gets credited for that kind of thing. lodged inside the heritage centre on lodge st in littleborough, it already has context most cafes have to fake, a building with actual weight to it. and the locals who've made this a habit clearly aren't showing up out of convenience alone. you don't become that embedded in a community by coasting. whatever's in the cup, the consistency is the point, and that's harder to maintain than it looks. if you're passing through ol15, or heading out toward the pennines for the day, this is the stop worth building the morning around.
