their pastries hit different than the chains scattered around clarks village. something about the way the cornish bakery handles both coffee and baked goods without trying to be a café that happens to sell day-old croissants. you get the sense they actually care about both sides of the equation, which is rarer than it should be. the coffee holds up against the sweet stuff instead of getting lost. and the pastries don't taste like they've been sitting under heat lamps since dawn. street gets plenty of foot traffic from shoppers, but this spot has earned its following among locals who know the difference. they're not chasing every trend that rolls through specialty coffee circles. just doing the fundamentals well. grab a flat white with one of their cornish pasties around 10am when the morning rush settles.
