you're on broad street in bungay, a market town in the waveney valley where the pace is genuinely slower and the high street still has some fight left in it. the fisher theatre sits at number ten, and if you've spent any time in small norfolk and suffolk towns you know that a coffee shop either becomes part of the fabric quickly or it doesn't last. this one has. the people who come back regularly seem to do so with some loyalty, which says more than a polished website ever could. you don't have to go far out of your way to find it, either. broad street puts it right in the middle of things. come mid-morning, when bungay is actually moving, and get a flat white while you figure out the rest of the day.
