omaha's specialty coffee scene has quietly built real depth over the past decade, spreading well beyond the old market and midtown into neighborhoods that don't always get written up. the grind coffeehouse, out on south 192nd court in elkhorn, is part of that spread. elkhorn sits on omaha's far western edge, suburban in pace but not in attitude toward coffee, and the regulars here are genuinely devoted, the kind of loyal that takes years to build and doesn't happen unless a place is consistently doing right by people. if you're making the drive out to 192nd, it's worth arriving early in the morning when that western-edge quiet still holds. the coffee is the point. full stop.
