london's specialty coffee scene has expanded well beyond shoreditch and brixton at this point, reaching corners of the city that don't usually get written up. orchard place in e14 is one of those corners, and the cafe at number 64 has built a quiet local reputation that holds up. what's less obvious from the outside is that the tea here is taken as seriously as the coffee, which matters if you're the kind of person who rotates between both depending on the hour. the menu leans vegan and vegetarian, so if that's your diet it's not an afterthought. it's also genuinely good for solo visits, the kind of place where you can sit with something and actually think. start with the tea.
