The Pie Hole

still talking about the arts district, and someone always brings up traction avenue. the pie hole sits at 714, which puts you deep in a part of downtown los angeles that has spent the last decade figuring out what it wants to be, and the coffee here has quietly kept pace with all of it. it's well regarded locally, and that reputation holds because this neighborhood doesn't hand those out easily. you can get a slice of pie with your coffee, which sounds obvious until you're actually doing it at a sidewalk table and realize most cafes never thought to try. go in the morning if you can. traction avenue before the lunch crowd arrives is a different street entirely, and the pie hole is a better version of itself for it.
