you're on market place in bolsover, a market town that doesn't get a lot of coffee press, which is probably fine with the people who've already found the pump at number 21. this part of derbyshire runs on its own schedule, and the pump fits that without making a thing of it. what you get here is specialty coffee taken seriously in a town where that still counts for something, served by people who clearly care how the cup lands. regulars keep coming back, and in a town this size that kind of loyalty is hard-won and slow to build. if you're passing through on a weekday morning, the flat white is exactly where to start.
