somewhere between shettleston and tollcross, the kind of coffee shop that actually matters to its neighbourhood rather than performing for it. wellshot road isn't a destination street, which is exactly why finding something well regarded out here feels significant. you don't have to go far into the east end to realise that good independent coffee tends to cluster in places people actually live, not just in the spots tourists already know. the locals here clearly have strong opinions, and the place has held its reputation without needing to shout about it. a flat white on a grey glasgow weekday morning, on a road most people only know from the bus route, hits differently than the same drink somewhere more obvious.
