tomo's takes tea seriously, and that alone sets it apart from most of what's happening on little collins st. specialty coffee is the obvious draw, and the coffee does hold up, but if you walk in ordering tea you won't be handed an afterthought. the small plates and breakfast options mean this place works for a slow morning, not just a quick hit before the next meeting. good for solo visits too, which matters more than people admit when you're after somewhere to actually sit with your thoughts rather than perform being busy. little collins has no shortage of options, but tomo's earns its place on the stretch with something more focused than the average grab-and-go. start with the tea.
