balangan beach road isn't the most obvious place to go looking for serious coffee, but ula cafe has built a real following out here in ungasan anyway. you won't find it buried in seminyak or canggu where the cafe density gets almost absurd, and that distance is part of the point. the crowd that keeps coming back to jl. pantai balangan isn't doing it out of convenience. specialty coffee in bali has grown up fast over the last decade, moving well past tourist-facing basics into actual sourcing conversations and proper technique, and ula sits inside that shift rather than outside it. if you're making the trip down toward the cliffs, build in time for a morning cup here before the southern bali heat takes over.
