world aeropress championship
one device. one recipe. a single-elimination knockout bracket judged blind.
what it is
The World Aeropress Championship operates independently of the SCA's World Coffee Events. The competition follows a knockout format: competitors brew one cup using the Aeropress and a coffee of their choice, served to three blind judges who choose a winner. Rounds continue until one champion stands. Born from a Norwegian café in 2008, the championship has grown into a near-global qualifier network and is the most accessible competition in coffee — anyone with an Aeropress, a grinder, and a stopwatch can enter their national round.
