roaster equipment
neuhaus neotec
german fluidised-bed industrial roasting technology.
neuhaus neotec has been building industrial roasting systems out of ganderkesee, germany since 1976. they're part of the kahl holdings group and supply some of the largest coffee companies on earth: jacobs douwe egberts, nestlé, tchibo, kraft heinz, aldi, segafredo. their core technology is the rfb fluid bed system, which uses convective hot air roasting with no moving parts inside the chamber. batch sizes run from 30 kg up to 450 kg, with throughputs reaching 3.5 tons per hour on their biggest machines. they've also developed drum roaster lines (maestro and ctr series) for clients who want traditional profiles. the company recently introduced a fully electric rfb roaster drawing one megawatt that can handle 3 to 3.5 tons per hour, installed at café william in canada for carbon-neutral production using hydropower. energy efficiency is a major selling point: high recirculation rates, optimized insulation, and low thermal losses. control systems are fully automated with plc-based recipe management and touchscreen interfaces. if you're running or planning a high-volume operation and need consistent output at scale, neuhaus neotec is one of the few builders working at this capacity level.
