the espresso here is the obvious starting point, and for good reason. rome doesn't do bad espresso lightly, and bialetti, sitting out on via mario rigamonti in the eur-adjacent stretch of the 00142 district, holds its own in a city where locals will walk an extra ten minutes rather than settle. you won't find much patience for compromise in this part of rome, and the coffee reflects that. it's a neighborhood roaster in the truest sense, meaning the people drinking here actually live nearby, and that local accountability tends to keep standards honest. if you're heading south from the centro, this is a reasonable anchor for the afternoon. pull up, order a macchiato, and let the street do the rest.
