boona boona roasts with purpose, and you can tell. this isn't a place hedging its bets across a sprawling menu. the focus is on the coffee itself, sourced and roasted with enough seriousness that the cup justifies the trip out to wells road. totterdown isn't the most obvious neighbourhood for a destination roaster, sitting south of the river avon with a steep residential character that has nothing to prove, which suits the place well. if you're coming from central bristol, the detour is worth it. the standing here is genuinely good, built slowly and not on foot traffic. come for a filter in the morning, when the roastery work and the café work exist in the same unhurried space on wells rd.
