cosmic coffee company roasts with intention, and you can feel that in every cup before you even leave lafayette street. this is a specialty roaster that treats the roasting side of the business as seriously as the cafe side, which isn't a given in the south bay. santa clara doesn't have a dense specialty coffee scene, so a place doing real roasting work on lafayette st matters more here than it might somewhere else. the suite address gives it away a little, light industrial, tucked rather than exposed, but that's fine. what you're coming for is the coffee itself. if you're anywhere near the 95050, make the detour for the morning espresso.
