cult & coffee does two things and does both seriously. a barbershop and a specialty roaster sharing a unit on waterman walk in ordsall is either an odd pairing or a completely logical one, depending on how you look at it. this corner of salford, sitting along clippers quay near the irwell, doesn't get the same foot traffic as the northern quarter, but the people who find it tend to come back. that says something about consistency. you don't build that kind of loyalty by being careless. the coffee operation isn't a sideshow to the haircuts, it's a genuine focus. if you're on the salford side of the city and need a reason to cross the water, a flat white at clippers quay is a solid place to start.
