the single origin filter is worth slowing down for here. double roasters sits on victoria road in marrickville, which is the kind of inner west strip where you'll find the cafe operating as both a roastery and a place to actually drink what they make, so there's no disconnect between the sourcing side and what lands in your cup. they roast on site, which matters if you care about freshness and traceability. you don't have to be a coffee obsessive to appreciate it, but if you are, this is your spot. locals clearly know it. the neighbourhood has strong opinions about where it gets its coffee, and double roasters has held its ground. start with a batch brew if you're passing through on a weekday morning on victoria rd.
