berlin has no shortage of places claiming to roast well. einstein kaffee rösterei on franklinstraße actually does it. the charlottenburg address isn't glamorous, franklinstraße sits in a working stretch of the city between the technical university and the spree bend, which means the crowd that finds this place is usually looking for it. that matters. when a roastery builds its following without foot-traffic luck, the product is doing the work. you're not here for atmosphere or convenience, you're here because someone pointed you in this direction and told you not to skip it. locally, that kind of quiet reputation takes years to build. start with whatever single origin filter is running that week.
