good coffee in rhodes takes some looking for, but paleon patron germanou is a reasonable place to start. el greco roasting has built the kind of following that doesn't need advertising, regulars who come back consistently enough that the place has real standing in a city that sees a lot of tourist-facing shortcuts. you get the sense that sourcing and roasting are treated as actual work here, not an afterthought dressed up with signage. the old town context matters too, that part of rhodes carries enough genuine history that a place either fits or it doesn't, and this one fits. come in the morning if you can, when the street is quieter and there's room to actually pay attention to what's in your cup.
