
the filter coffee is probably your best starting point here. jasper's has been roasting its own beans on worsley road long enough that the filter work tends to show more of what they actually know than any milk drink would. cowes isn't a place you associate with specialty roasting, which makes finding a proper independent roastery on a residential stretch of the island genuinely surprising. you get the sense this place exists because someone cared about the sourcing and the roast, not because cowes needed another café. the espresso-based drinks are worth your time too, but if you want to understand what a roastery is actually doing with its green coffee, order the filter and take it slowly. worsley road on a quiet morning is a fine place to do exactly that.
