slow mornings in frankton don't have a lot of obvious pull, but norton road has this one. manakua brothers' coffee roastery sits at 129c, a working roastery that takes the coffee side seriously enough that you're not just getting a café stopgap. the regulars here are loyal in the way that only happens when a place consistently delivers, not when someone got lucky once. if you're the kind of person who cares whether your coffee came from a roaster with actual skin in the game, this is the right address. hamilton has grown into its specialty scene, and places like this are a big part of why. whatever you're ordering, the flat white on a tuesday morning is probably where to start.
