the filter coffee here is what you should probably start with, if only because miko takes roasting seriously enough to make a good filter worth your time rather than an afterthought. based out on brooklands way in dinnington, this is a roaster that actually produces what it sells, which puts it in a different category from most places you'd find along a sheffield commute. the specialty side of things is genuine, not just a label. independent roasters at this scale tend to have a clarity of focus that larger operations lose, and miko seems to sit comfortably in that space. if you're picking something up to take home, the roasted beans are the obvious call. come back for the filter.
