if you've got a few hours to fill and no interest in a corporate lobby with a logo cup, pflugerville's joe barbee drive is worth the detour. nearby coffee co. sits in a suite-b kind of spot, the kind you find because someone told you about it, not because it was impossible to miss. what you get here is a roaster that takes the sourcing side seriously, which means the coffee in your cup has a clearer lineage than most. the regulars keep coming back, and that loyalty isn't built on convenience alone when you're out in 78660. go on a slow weekday morning, order something espresso-based, and let the pace of the place do its thing. the cortado is a good starting point.
