the filter coffee here is worth slowing down for, especially if you're cutting through the west end and need a reason to stop somewhere that isn't a chain forecourt. notes has been roasting its own beans long enough that the sourcing side of things actually shows up in the cup, and the espresso-based drinks reflect that same attention rather than coasting on oxford street foot traffic. you get the sense that the bond street location, tucked into west one shopping centre on 381 oxford street, pulls in a lot of accidental visitors who then come back deliberately. the cold brew is a reliable call if you're shopping in july and don't want anything hot. filter in the morning, though, is probably the move.
