a slow weekend drive out lower york road often ends somewhere you didn't quite plan. lahaska sits in bucks county at a pace that makes the drive worth it before you've even arrived, and old village roastery on 5812b lower york road is a reasonable reason to plan around it. this is a roastery first, which means the coffee isn't an afterthought to the atmosphere, it's the whole point. the regulars here are loyal in the specific way that people get when a place doesn't slip, visit after visit. if you're going to make the trip out to 18931, time it for a morning when you've got nowhere urgent to be, and let the cortado do what it's supposed to do.
