so yeah, roasting operations tucked into industrial stretches of kenner don't usually get much attention. but that's kind of the point with orleans coffee. 1001 industry rd sits away from the quarter, away from magazine street's cafe crawl, in a part of town built for warehouses and loading docks, not tourists. that's exactly where you want a roaster to live, honestly. less about the seating, more about what's happening to the beans before they ever hit a bag. you won't find this place by accident. you have to already know it's there, off industry, past whatever else shares that stretch of kenner. and once you're in, the conversation is coffee, full stop. no pastry case theater, no line out the door. just an early stop before work, a bag of beans to take home, a to-go cup on your way back toward the airport.
