badalona sits just north of barcelona on the mediterranean coast, close enough to the city that you'd expect its coffee scene to live in barcelona's shadow. it doesn't, not entirely. torr artcafè, on carrer del canonge baranera, is part of why. the place has built real loyalty among people who know the difference between a roaster that takes the process seriously and one that doesn't, and that loyalty isn't quiet or polite, it's the kind that brings people back on a tuesday morning for no particular reason. if you're making your way through badalona and the street puts you near number 12, the afternoon filter is a good reason to stop.
