the BSC-3 covers 0.5kg to 3kg batches and represents the practical sweet spot for small roasting operations. three kilograms gives you enough capacity for wholesale accounts or busy retail without the footprint and utility demands of larger machines. roasting time of 8-15 minutes with 3-5 minute cooling means you can realistically hit 12-15kg per hour if you're organized. the 28kW burner is the same unit used on the BSC-1 and BSC-2, which gives good heat for this batch size but not much overhead. manual control through potentiometers with profile logging to Artisan or Cropster. the 827mm x 1600mm x 1250mm footprint is still manageable in small spaces. where it falls short: no automation option means you're tied to the machine, and 3kg batches get tedious if you're scaling beyond 100kg per week. the cooling capacity starts to show limits on back-to-back full batches. this machine makes sense if you're committed to hands-on roasting at small scale.
