broad street gets a lot of foot traffic for obvious reasons, tourists moving between the bodleian and the history of science museum, locals cutting through on the way to somewhere else. italiamo cafe sits right in the middle of all that, at number 22, and manages to be genuinely useful rather than just convenient. the regulars here are loyal in the particular way that only happens when a place actually delivers, consistently, over time. if you're in oxford and you want a coffee that someone has thought about, this is a reasonable place to stop. mid-morning on broad street, with something warm in your hand and the old stone of the city around you, is not a bad situation to be in.
