café granja la esperanza is a colombian producer and green coffee exporter operating farms across valle del cauca, huila, and risaralda. the operation has been family-run since 1945 under director rigoberto herrera, and spans multiple estate farms including la esperanza in trujillo, la victoria in risaralda, and smallholder programs in pitalito and caicedonia. the farms work with a range of varieties including caturra, colombia, castillo, tipica, and laurina, at altitudes from roughly 1,430 to 1,900 masl. processing includes washed, natural, honey, and proprietary fermentation protocols, notably the x.o and napoleon processes, all carried out under controlled temperature conditions. an in-house q-grader certified lab verifies each batch for quality and consistency. the operation participates in the cumbres de colombia auction series, and in october 2025 a laurina natural micro-lot from trujillo sold for $2,194.10 per kg, a record for colombian green coffee at auction. cup scores across current lots range from 84.5 to 94.25. the company exports directly to international roasters. contact is available via marketing@cafegranjalaesperanza.com or whatsapp at +57 3147013205.
