zigoti coffee works limited (zicofe) is a family-founded ugandan coffee company established on 12 march 1992, following the liberalisation of the ugandan coffee sector after the dissolution of the coffee marketing board. the company operates a primary processing plant and a roasting facility, and holds offices at plot 104/106, 5th street, industrial area, kampala, with an additional site in zigoti town on the mityana road. zicofe purchases arabica and robusta coffee from ugandan growers, processes it at its own facility, and exports green and roasted coffee to buyers in europe, north america, and asia. the company was among the first locally owned processors in uganda to build its own primary processing infrastructure after market liberalisation. its activities span the full supply chain from farm-gate buying through wet and dry processing to export. the business is privately held and remains family run. no third-party certification, grader credentials, or microlot program details are confirmed in available research.
