seville takes its coffee seriously, but not always in the way you might expect. the city runs on cortados and conversation, and the specialty scene has been quietly carving out its own space alongside the traditional tapas-bar culture. black jebena sits on avenida de kansas city, in the gran via building out toward the east of the city, a stretch of seville that doesn't get the tourist foot traffic of the centro but draws people with actual reasons to be there. the roastery-and-gallery model is a real commitment, not a branding exercise, and the regulars who make the trip back consistently are not doing so out of habit alone. if you're in that part of the city on a weekday morning, this is where you want to start.
