you're on futtono, a quiet residential stretch in minuma ward that most people pass through rather than stop in. saitama doesn't get the coffee press that tokyo does, but that's never really been the point out here. 豆工房coffee roast akane is an independent roaster doing its own thing at 351-12, and the emphasis is genuinely on the roasting side of the equation, which means what ends up in your cup has been thought about well before you walked in. the reviews across the board are confident, and consistently so. if you're making the trip out to minuma, time it for a slow morning when the neighborhood is still quiet and you can sit with whatever the current roast is without anywhere else to be.
