rios de esperanza is a decaf washed coffee from costa rica, roasted by olfactory coffee roasters. the washed process strips away the fruit before drying, which tends to produce a clean, clear cup. expect caramel sweetness up front, followed by milk chocolate and darker cocoa tones that add depth without bitterness. because the flavors are well-defined and balanced, this works well across a range of brew methods. grind medium for a drip or pour over to keep the caramel and chocolate notes distinct, or pull it slightly finer for a moka pot if you want to push the darker chocolate character.
