good roasters don't always set up where you'd expect them. silipo coffee is out on bailey crescent in southport, the kind of light-industrial pocket of the gold coast that most people drive through without stopping. you probably wouldn't stumble onto it by accident, which means the people who do show up are mostly there on purpose, and that tends to make for a quieter, more focused place to drink coffee. the roasting happens on site, so what ends up in your cup hasn't been sitting in a warehouse for weeks. southport isn't a flashy suburb, and silipo doesn't seem interested in being flashy either. unit 9, bailey crescent, mid-morning, before the day gets away from you.
