the verdict

the pro 100 doubles batch size to 100g, which gives you 10 to 12 cupping bowls per roast or enough to send samples to multiple people. same construction and app control as the 50g model, just a taller roast chamber. the extra capacity is useful for import offices running larger cuppings or roasteries that want backup samples without running multiple batches. still portable with the pelican case, still rated for 60+ roasts per day. the fluid bed system and single-fan design carry over, so maintenance and reliability are the same. trade-offs are identical to the smaller model: this doesn't replicate drum roasting, the batch size is fixed, and you're dependent on the app for control. the 100g size adds a bit of weight (about half a pound more) and height, but it's still compact enough for field work. best for buyers and labs that need higher sample volume per roast without sacrificing portability or consistency. if you're mostly doing small single-table cuppings, the 50g model is sufficient and lighter.
